Determine the location of the closet door handles. Make sure the handles are user-friendly. Most handles are mounted on the underside of the upper cabinet and on top of the worktops. Handles on box fronts should be mounted in the center. Put a piece of masking tape on the door and drawers where holes need to be drilled. This allows you to make markings on the tape and not on the surface of the casing.
Measure the width of the shank from the attachment holes to the fastening holes with a tape measure. Measure the width of the mounting holes on the closet door handles. Make a cross on the masking tape where holes must be drilled. Drill 1/8 “hole through the door using a drill and a drill. Remove the masking tape from the door of the cabinet. Place the screws through the door from the back. Pull them into the handle and tighten the screws with a screwdriver.
